There are some strange offers
For example Softube.
You get an offer from Softube by email.
Once I saw some plugin for $ 89 and I thought "well, still not cheap, but for me in Europe it's cheaper to pay a $ price in €
(only a few months ago € was even stronger!)
Then in checkout I noticed I had to pay € 89 plus VAT and was upset.
Bye bye Softube, you won't fool me, even
though I saw afterwards that you wrote something in very small letters in your offer
Make decent offers!

Today I received an email from UVI, some subscription offer.
Price is $ 24/ € 24 monthly.
How can one consider $ and € the same?
Very often VAT is added to a price in €, whereas $ without.
Why do Europeans have to pay more?
UVI is in France!
Anyway I do not like their VSTi very much,
but some devs have strange pricing.

This has frustrated me many times as well. Sure, EU companies are forced to apply taxes to EU customers, and depending on the yearly revenue (don't temember this fully) to EU, global companies need to report this as well.

But when the use the same amount for both $ and €, this is what triggers me, especially when adding taxes. Horrible!

In case you can buy from AudioDeluxe or JRRShop, do that, they won't charge for VAT.

Sorry, I don't know why my thread has duplicated?

Also I remember, not sure, but I think it was Nembrini, an offer $ 49, I added to card, in checkout all of a sudden € 49 plus VAT. I did not buy

And I ve found a kind of new offer by Plugin alliance.
Correct me if I am wrong, but you can buy every plugin with Forever 29 plan (USD 29.99) + 1 USD and cancel the plan any time. So every PA plugin one can get for 30.99 USD. At the same time they have sales and a lot of plugins for USD 30.99!?
Somehow strange. So every list price more or less is a joke, they could have a list price of 400 USD, but it's 30.99 anyway.
I know it's the same with Waves, every plugin is more or less $ USD 29, but Waves is without VAT in addition afaik!???
PA is + VAT in Europe, as well, but you can pay in $

In our case, we do not add VAT to the price you see as it's already included in the euro price.

Im seeing Softube prices in € inclusive of VAT. It literally states ' Total: €xx.vv
VAT included: €yy.zz' on the checkout page.

Checked current Softube offer.
They write
"Prices, shown here in USD, may vary in other currencies."
May vary? I am in Europe, so why do I get offers in USD, when I have to pay on € and may vary is a joke, it does vary and Softube exactly knows...
Since I do know what it's all about now, it's ok, I just rarely buy Softube, even sale prices are still pretty high, but if I had to pay what they offered in USD, I sometimes would have grabbed a plugin, Euro no!, though

Just don't buy from these developers.
There are enough good alternatives, always.
