Hello! I would like to ask you a few questions about sample libraries. Your answers would help me a lot offering better content. Below you can find a link to one MFB Dominion 1 bass instrument (C0-C2) and one synth instrument (C2-C5). These can be downloaded from everyone but if you participate in my survey I will send you a link to Roland SH-101 bass instrument (C0-C2) and synth instrument (C2-C6).
01 - Where do you shop most of your libraries? (Loopmasters, Loopcloud, Splice, another website?)
02 - What are your favorite sample-based labels? Why?
03 - Do you only buy samples, or preset libraries too? What are your favorite software instruments?
04 - Do you care if the samples you buy are made with analog gear? If so, what is the synth/drum machine(s) you would like to have more samples of?
05 - Do you mainly use loops or one-shots? Melodic loops or drum/percussion loops? Do you like music/construction kits?
06 - Do you prefer short 4 bar loops or evolving 16/32 bar loops?
07 - How important to you is to have dry/wet versions of the samples?
08 - What is the perfect content of a sample library, how many bass/chord/pad/synth loops, how many drum loops, how many one-shots? And what would be your fair price for it?
09 - Do you mainly buy full-size libraries or you prefer to buy a 100 synth loops library, then a 100 modular percussions library, etc?
10 - Do you buy bass and synth instruments? If so, what are the synthesizers you want to have multi-sampled instruments of?
Tell me if I missed asking you something important and thank you for your time.

I will participate!
1) Splice
2) Impact SoundWorks, they output very high quality Librarys and are very responsive to their customers, customer support is excellent!
3) I buy presets too! My Fav commercial developers are Rob Papen, Synapse Audio, Reveal Sound, Xfer and Uhe and I have all the synths in their catalogue
4) No any source is good for me.. if it sounds good.. then it is good! Analogue drum machines, Simmonds, linndrum, Oberheim dmx ( eventhough both is actually sample based)
5) I use mostly drum one shots, percusion loops not longer than two bars, I dislike full song construction kits... its like having pre assembled lego kits glued together.. very limiting and then there is copyrighted challeges if you want to release something based on a full song construction kit.
6) two bar percussion and drum loops, drum fills and risers..No melodic loops.
7) I prefer dry but wet with only compression would be ok ( suggestions or recomnendations in a info doc for wet based efx is always good! )
I am only really intrested in one shot percs drums and instrumental ( no melodic loops!) I prefer mini packs not more than $20.
9) Only full size when I can afford it.
10)Bass and accoustic instruments.. the lead and pads synthesized sounds are coverd in vsts.. besides the roland 101 and lately and fm basses that I am looking for.
Hope that helps!
