i dont mean when you play a note, or draw in a note, that shows what note it is.

But i mean on the actual pianoroll to the left, it just shows C1, and so on, I would like it to show every note. Cant find the setting for it. Been using cubase for decades but this is one thing I always wanted to know, and at this time, I need it more than ever..

And please dont say "just learn it lol" i realise that already, I want to actually display it regardless, even If i do know where each note lies in the octave.

I don't think there is such an option, you can display the note names on the events if you increase the vertical height if that helps?
i.e.:-
Cubase_NoteNums_showpng.png
Edit: Sorry, just noticed that you are already displaying them on the event.

And you can also change the lower zone to be 'drum editor' view which does show all the notes by default, but you can't set lengths in drum editor mode.

That happens not to be the case. The option to show diamonds or lengths is a button on the toolbar.

Maybe Steinberg thinks the different shading between naturals and sharps/flats is enough?

Have you rightclicked on a pianokey?
That's where you find alternatives in Cakewalk.

yeah right clicking there does nothing, i just dont think cubase has this option.
or its hidden away like many of its features. Although ive used cubase on and off since 2003 so id suppose id know, but then again I didnt know about Track Presets until recently, that you can save any number of instruments and effects into a single preset....

Anyhoo, I guess I just have to memorize the 12 notes, not a big deal. Just for a newbie, I suppose it could be a good thing to see every note on the scale right then and there.
