I've been using Reason 10 and software since I started producing several years ago, but for my birthday I was given an Arturia MicroFreak along with an M-Audio M-Track Solo. I have a cable to connect the synth and interface, and to connect the interface with my laptop, but I'm not sure how to go about actually integrating the whole thing into the software so I can play it 'in' Reason and record the output.
I'm aware this is probably a stupid question to most 'experienced' producers but I stress that I've never used any hardware before, so this is a completely new world to me.
Any advice is appreciated!

The way I remember using hardware in Reason is: audio output from the synth into audio interface, and midi from computer into the synth. I sent midi from Reason via midi out device (or whatever it's name was).
So basically I had two tracks in Reason set up for this: one audio (to recieve and record, well, audio from the synth) and one midi track to sent the notes to the synth. Of course you can ditch the midi track and play by hand.
