Ample Electric Hiss/Whisper Sound

In each of my ample electrics, I’m getting a hiss/static, and almost wind-like sound in frequencies north of 2.5k, and particularly up to 4.5k. Has anyone run into this, and if so, do you have a fix?

I thought the obvious solution was to EQ it out, but it requires such huge cuts that it renders the audio all but useless. The issue is consistent across any amp setting I’ve tried (which has been a lot), and even with the amps turned off. I’ve also messed with all the settings, both on the panels and in the actual settings menu, with decay times, etc.

I notice it especially when strumming open chords when tuned down a whole step. It’s less prevalent farther up neck, and more prevalent when doing faster strum parts.

Any insight/help is greatly appreciated.
