I own a receptor early version (1.0.0)...what still compatible as convolution reverbs ?

Including it into a send/return loop for live performances, I'm wondering hoe useful it still can be, especially with convolution reverb (reverberate LE from liquidsonics, for instance ?)

Oh wow, early adopter. Receptor started the KVR site/forum iirc.
Still using it in a live situation? I’m still waiting for a pedalboard friendly box that will fit on a board that can interface with a laptop/tablet that can integrate vst with analog in a chain. I know of one pedal company that does one but it doesn’t use ASIO type drivers and it’s not exactly low latency by today’s standards (>128 samples).

Just to say that the forum began before these times ... (as K-v-R, though)

Wouldn't it make more sense to have a foot controller to control your laptop/tablet instead of using a dead slow old hard to maintain linux pc in a way too big box? Any laptop is 100 times faster and smaller than a receptor and has a bigger display as well...

perhaps but "a tort ou a raison‘ I doubt it has the same stability of a dedicated hardware unit, even obsolete ?
...and AFAIK the last OS' versions had been changed to windows ?
..and finally I own a receptor and look for a use for it

so you suggest to use a PC or a tablet in a send/return loop ...or in a configurable use with appropriate softwares, so for instance through a physical send/return situation using USB2 or USB-C interfacesTj Shredder wrote: Fri Jul 22, 2022 5:52 am Wouldn't it make more sense to have a foot controller to control your laptop/tablet instead of using a dead slow old hard to maintain linux pc in a way too big box? Doing this since ages. In the end Receptor is a PC just without a useful screen and keyboard. And a very slow one for todays standards. It can crash like any other PC. Though I never ever had a crash on my iPad mini and that is most likely way faster than an old Receptor, despite being extremely small and light weight…
