Hey all. I have what is probably a very basic question because I'm new to programming MIDI Drums (have used a TR-8S for the last couple of years and am finally branching out :phones: )

Scenario: Win 11, latest version of ProTools, just loaded up Patchwork so I can run the Aly James VPROM VST for those amazing Linn drum sounds. I got the VPROM opened up via Patchwork and can hear the drum sounds by clicking on the buttons in the GUI. I double checked MIDI assignments in the VST so I know which notes should trigger the drums.

Problem: when I go into the MIDI editor on Pro Tools and add some notes to play back it just isn't working. Is there some kind of routing I need to set up in Patchwork so that MIDI notes from Pro Tools actually trigger the VPROM VST to play? I have the Patchwork and VST on an instrument track.

I tried playing with the MIDI i/o menu on the VST in Patchwork to no avail.

I'm not using an external controller, just trying to program a basic sequence by drawing MIDI notes with my mouse.

Thanks in advance for any help on this. I'm new here!
