Found this. Very interesting way to play with the delay FX on the XD. I've got a Wavestate and Opsix and haven't seen anything like it on their FX, so I presume this is only on the XD and Prologues. Looks like there's plenty of hidden tricks on the XD. Have to say I really think Korg are putting some creative juice into their synths in recent years. I know I can do that by recording into my DAW, but this seems to be a neat live performance option. They must have put a fairly hefty memory in there to buffer so many delays...

XD is definitely next on my purchase list - probably sooner rather than later. And I found a few vids that show off its screaming filter possibilities. XD really is the next iteration of an MS20 on steroids IMO. I'm going to have to branch out - at this rate most of my stands are going to be full of Korgs.

Dunno why I couldn't think of this, but then I didn't realise you could download user FX on the XD. I knew there were user waves already, but you can get things like a resonant HPF and BPF etc on user FX! And I hadn't looked into the CV inputs and where they can modulate. Nice vid from Starsky - shows how the CV inputs can modulate the FX...

...so you can have a HPF modulating as well as the onboard LPF. Which...bugger me sideways...really does make it into an MS20. I'm thinking I could do those vocal type sounds an MS20 makes when both filters resonate at slightly different frequencies. And of course you can add in LFOs with the CV inputs, so that makes it far more flexible than it looks straight out of the box. Hmmmm...thinking I can d/l some filters, hook up my 2600 to the CVs and make some really weird shit on an XD. :o
Why did nobody tell me...well, I suppose Starsky just did. :hihi:
