I recently setup an audio system using some of my old stuff.
2012 Macbook Pro i5 running Windows 10 (Bootcamp)
TC Konnekt 24D
Reaper
The Konnekt 24D is recognised but I get occasional audio spikes when running VSTi's
I have Wifi and Bluetooth disabled
Interrupt handling is taking about 5% processor in Task manager.
I have the LSI 1394 OHCI compliant host controller (version 10.0.19041.1 date 21/06/2006
Is there any chance of getting rid of the audio spikes (currently running 24/96 with buffersize 512). TC Near 3.5.1

I still have a Konnekt attached to my computer - and mine is working well, but I remember having issues like the one you describe. My memory is the firewire chipsets make a huge difference and TI is the one that you want. I seem to remember changing the driver to the legacy firewire driver will help. Or it might be changing it from the legacy one -something like that.
Hope that helps

I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Thanks,
TI is generally recommended for audio use. But both Focusrite and UAD report that the LSI chipset also works. Might be still that in case of the Konnekt the LSI chipset is the cullprit. But I will download and try the legacy driver. Hope it will work.
