Novation Automap with VST3 and Ableton Live

DISCLAIMER: I know, Automap has been long discontinued, but I still use it profitably with VST2 plugins.
Now, since I upgraded to Ableton Live 11 I can finally use VST3, however I found that the automapped versions of VST3 plugins don't show up. (I tested them in Reaper and they work just fine).
I managed to see them in Live once or twice, after applying the following workaround: 1) move the original .vst3 files out of the VST3 folder, 2) start and close Live, 3) restore the original .vst3 back in there. However this "method" doesn't give consistent results: sometimes nothing changes, not sure why. Perhaps Live loads plugins according to their modification date, or something like that.
Did anybody experience the same issue? Any proper workarounds?
