Is this just me that gets annoyed at this about Cubase?

Its my fault but it's annoying: when duplicating MIDI data by selecting and dragging midi notes whilst holding ALT to create a 2nd copy in a midi window and you release the alt key millisecs before you let go of the mouse button to release the newly created copy thereby ending up drag moving the original instead of copying.

Yeah, that happens to me as well. Another annoyance is when I'm trying to increase or decrease volumes using point in the automation lane. Those pesky, erratic volume jumps irk me. I wish they could move in nice even steps, like a quantize function.

I agree and I’ll add the mind numbing steps it takes to tap tempo. It may not be an issue for the orchestral cue folks but for me… being able to quickly tap a tempo is essential to my workflow.

Simply set a key command to copy. I think D is the default and shift+D to make a ghost copy for midi clips.

Yes, there is something definitely funky certainly on a Mac. I have been doing this action for decades on multiple programs and DAW's and my muscle memory is ingrained now, it happens maybe 5% of the time. Weird.

Did you change to a wireless keyboard that sleeps after 10 seconds of inactivity? Pressing any key on the wireless keyboard takes a few seconds to awake the wireless keyboard. Regards.
