I just downloaded the free waveform 12 program and when I open it it seems to take over other programs such as Spotify. I can't get Spotify to work if the wave form is open. Anyone else had this problem?
TIA

DAWs like to have exclusive control over audio. With ASIO that is a given.
You can solve this with an audio interface that has a so-called multi-client driver.

We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

There are also various software audio drivers that let you pass audio around between different apps. Blackhole is one (Mac-only I think). I know there are others but their names escape me right now.

A couple of other things to check if you have a 'built in' sound card and the bit rate & sample rate of your DAW (Waveform 12) is different to the general sample rate of Windows. Check the settings/preferences in Waveform 12 match your Windows settings. Guide to checking here - https://samsontech.zendesk.com/hc/en-us ... d%20output.
