Well, only Stratus 3D and Symphony 3D are confirmed, but they're getting an update in September. I asked about this to the support team, and they said they're qualifying them to work on the most recent Mac OS, and they're redesigning their visual design to make them look a little bit more like iZotope brand products.
Update: Yeah, Stratus and Symphony did get an update but all other EA reverbs are discontinued :p

Thanks for sharing! I have to admit that I don't really jive with the new gui for the reverbs as much as the original design when Phoenix first came out. This is good news to hear we are getting an update.

Thanks for the intel! Makes sense they would do those (first) as I'm sure they still get used a lot in TV, film & post. Hope they keep all the Exponential stuff running for the foreseeable future. Great algorithms and the filtering options in R4 and Nimbus plus tail suppression make them really versatile.

I don’t see why they can’t do them all - Stratus and Symphony are basically the same engine as Nimbus and R4 anyway but just with surround capabilities (which I don’t need)

Don’t sleep on NeoVerb. I actually like it more than R4 and Nimbus. Very fast and easy to get great sounds. Really made me appreciate how good those base algorithms are but the way NeoVerb presents them and lays out the parameters is excellent. It’s a case of less is more for me.

May be because they sell Stratus and Symphony for mega bucks and they practically give Nimbus and R4 away. Wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t get any further updates as they probably make very little from them.aMUSEd wrote: Sun Sep 04, 2022 12:46 pm I don’t see why they can’t do them all - Stratus and Symphony are basically the same engine as Nimbus and R4 anyway but just with surround capabilities (which I don’t need)

It's out now. The new look is pretty half-baked imo because they just swapped the graphics. But I'm still glad they keep Symphony & Stratus alive for now.

I grabbed the recent 'get everything from Izotope' upgrade deal, mainly for the Ozone 10 and RX 10 'free' updates this month, though I had neither Symphony & Stratus either so was a bonus.
I know R4 is meant to be 'character' reverbs (kinda akin to Valhalla VintageVerb) and Nimbus is a more 'realistic' verb - so how do Symphony and Stratus fit into the intended usage? Obviously they both have the added multichannel support but just for stereo work what do they bring to the reverb table in comparison to R4 & Nimbus ?
Are they evolutions of the previous reverbs, so something like:
Phoenixverb -> Nimbus -> Stratus
R2 -> R4 -> Symphony

no, actually there are two product lines with two generations for each and both lines (on both generations) have stereo and surround editions...
_______________Generation 1__________________Generation 2
___________ Stereo_________Surround _____________Stereo_____Surround
Line 1_________R2________R2 Surround_______________R4______Symphony
Line 2_______Phoenix____Phoenix Surround____________Nimbus____Stratus

Stratus and Symphony are available as stereo versions as well.jens wrote: Mon Nov 07, 2022 12:34 pmmcbpete wrote: Tue Sep 06, 2022 8:22 pm Are they evolutions of the previous reverbs, so something like:

Therefore mcbpete is correct.
PS:R4 and Nimbus are abandoned, Symphony and Stratus are their updated successors.

I actually merely relayed how Michael Carnes himself explained his product portfolio... but hey, if you know it better than him then more power too you...

That statement is completely outdated and no longer correct.
Michael Carnes by the way cashed out with iZotope and retired.
I would have done the same.
