I am kinda shocked to see them release a new plugin, I thought they were finished as a company tbh, not seen an update from them in years.
Still here is the new plugin

I'm pleasantly surprised to see 80s spaces Vst3 version. It sounds great!!
Actually their ISP3 line products are superb! E-comprrssor, their SC channel strip, stereo imager, etc are all really fine plugins...
I request Nomad Factory to update all of their plugins! Even Magma!
If Nomad Factory updates all their products to vst3 they'll replace many of my current plugins!!

Nomad told me a while back that they will be updating their plugins and that VST3 will be on the menu...

It's free to V1 purchasers. I just downloaded the V2 installer and it works with my V1 authorisation.seangm wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 4:16 pm I don't see any upgrade offer to V2 though as far as I can tell.
There's also a black GUI if the purple's a bit much. Can't see any resize function though.

Thanks for letting me know, I was hoping that was the case.Mr Arkadin wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 7:10 pmIt's free to V1 purchasers. Happy to read that the entire NF line will be ported to the new framework with updated support and plugin formats.
I knew they were in the process of porting, but it took so long I had actually lost hope. Not everything I own gets used, but I quite like a few of their plugins.

Well I read that ages ago, and not heard anything since, so I'd also just lost hope tbh.Amon1973 wrote: Thu Sep 08, 2022 7:12 am Happy to read that the entire NF line will be ported to the new framework with updated support and plugin formats.

Maybe this is the start of the move over.

Got this in an email from NF yesterday:
80's Spaces is the first update to be issued, there are many more coming for the end of this year and next year.
Personally, I hope the Analog Signature Pack and the Echoes delay are at the top of the schedule. Hoping, that is, that NF will also deal with the (what sounds like) internal clipping problem if driving those plug-ins even slightly hard. Avoid that problem and these plug-ins can really sound magical when looking to add warmth to a track.

As someone who owns every Nomad Factory plugin except 80's Spaces (thanks to Bernie's generosity before he passed) I was attracted by the sale price of version 2.dmbaer wrote: Thu Sep 08, 2022 7:07 pm 80's Spaces is the first update to be issued, there are many more coming for the end of this year and next year.
However the lack of a resize option is disappointing. Most of the old NF plugins suffer from GUI shrink as monitor resolutions have changed since they were first released.
80's Spaces is usable although uncomfortable for me at 1920X1080 and I imagine at any higher resolution might be too small.
I pretty much stopped using NF plugins because they were ostensibly abandoned and because of the gui shrink issue.
So I'm very exited to hear some of the older plugins are getting love by the new team. But I really hope they add a resize option to them.
Just knowing there is a new team to carry on the NF lineup is very comforting.

Well you should try the demo. The GUI size might be sufficient for you. I'd hate to dissuade anyone from purchasing 80's Spaces.ATS wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 6:08 am oh damn that suckswas probably going to get it until I read this.
Like I said it's usable here but I do have to lean in a bit to see it clearly.
That's a very good question. The first thing I expected with the 80's Spaces update was new GUI sizes. In my opinion most the NF plugins just need resizable GUIs and maybe a sound tweak here and there to bring them up to current standards.LFO8 wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 7:09 am So.. if they are indeed still in business why don’t they update their plugins and make the GUI’s hdpi and resizable..?
I really hope they update MFX-Nomad which is a great multi-effects suite that could really benefit from a larger size.
I'm going to see if I can find a way to contact the new team and bring it up to them. Perhaps I can persuade them to have a presence here at KVR as well.
I think that would go a long way in bringing the NF plugins back into the game......
Edit: Found this quote on Plugivery's forum:
Mr. Eric Norot, CEO of Plugivery / Nomad Factory:
"Nomad Factory users have been eagerly waiting for this. this upgrade will affect the entire Nomad Factory product line over the course of the next few months."
"It has been very challenging for myself and the development team at Plugivery to take over the Nomad factory brand, a few years back, when owner and CEO Bernie Torelli sadly past away. Our developers have been hard at work to port, literally, millions of lines of codes to our modern framework assuring backward compatibility, and FREE upgrades for the next decades. We hope to have all Nomad Factory products ported to our new framework as soon as we possibly can."

I just bought it today and the file size(Windows) is 253MB.
I don't know but from the file size, it might be the convolution reverb.Leo1999 wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 6:20 am it's a convolution reverb, isn't it?
I couldn't find any information.
By the way... I really love 80's spaces. I was trying this kind of sound to create using others but always a little "too clean". 80's space is also clean but adds a little gritty taste... like an 80's reverb.
