Small mono desktop synth that can restart the osc phase on midi note on.

this is a must for plucky percussive bass.

my deepmind12, ms2000 and virus ti do it but they are all too big to take with me on gigs. besides they are killer synths just to do basslines.

any susggestions?

it might be analog or digital. it would be cool if it had a delay.

i have just read the manual, the moog subphatty does it. the only problem is that is not a small desktop module, it even has a keyboard. i've found a similar one, the the slim phatty, wich is way smaller, but the manual doesnt mention any way to restart the osc phase with midi note on.

Not sure about that... there's talk about oscillator synth, but, I don't see any mention of oscilator phase reset, let alone controls for the oscillator phase.

iirc amos gaynes talks about it at the very first presentation, namm 2013 that is

again, not 100% sure - hey: it's nearly 10 years..., but well....i think he even mention OP's purpose, plucky sounds that is...

and here's another presentation by nick batt

it's at around 11:00 in the amos gaynes video (btw imho quite a wonderful presentation)
(shift hard sync)

aaaannndd:
have a look at the moog minitaur
desktop and the feature seems to be called "reset oscillator waveform cycles" or "note sync"

https://www.moogmusic.com/products/minitaur

but...well...hmm...not exactly sure if it's really what OP is looking for:
page 10 of the manual says:
NOTE SYNC (CC# 81):
When enabled, NOTE SYNC forces both oscillators to start at the same
time, eliminating any phase differences at the start of each “Note On”
command. This ensures energy is consistent at the start of each new note.
Default = OFF

Moog Minitaur.

Thanks for the tips. But lets forget about moog. They are too expensive. Micromonsta2 seens nice but it is out of stock and looks too tiny. Anyother recomendations? Does behringer has such a synth besides the deepmind that i own and it s too big ?

How about Deepmind 12D which is a desktop of the synth you have.

Actually, a Moog Minitaur seems to be a perfect choice, when you just want it for bass lines anyway. Maybe a used one? Go for about 350 to 400 € here (which is insane though... maybe you find some cheaper ones. Just confirms my impressions of the used market. Total scam.).

About the deepmind12 desktop , I have that one. It is too big. It is huge and heavy. Im searching for something the size of a pulse 2 / Blofeld ( which i have) or the roland boutiques

Yeah, but no delay, no presets (?). Almost no features for the money.

I agree that Moog is way too expensive.
