Can experts here kindly give me some advice regarding studio speakers and audio interface?
After reading some of the previous posts here, I am thinking to buy
PreSonus Eris E4.5-2-Way 4.5" Near Field Studio Monitor
PreSonus AudioBox USB 96 25th Anniversary Edition
or PreSonus Studio 24c 2x2, 192 kHz, USB Audio Interface
Thanks a lot!

Sounds like you largely made up your mind already.
How can we advice, what's the doubt?

Hi BertKoor and chk071,
Thanks for the replies!
I mentioned the two options, largely because their prices, not that I already made up my mind. I am open to any suggestions. I used to use M-Audio speakers and a small siple beringer many years ago. But I do not have those speakers no more, and the price jumped up for that model. Plus, I do not see a whole lot of reviews for that model on amazon.
Please kindly give me some suggestions. Thanks again!

Not a Presonus fan tbh, have heard too many mixed reviews, but that's just me. Really any interface you get now should serve you well. I'd check out the Focusrites and Steinbergs as chk mentioned as well as the Behringers and MOTUs. Speakers, the JBL 305s are really good as are the Yamaha HS5s, among others. The KRK Rokits used to be, but seem to have fallen out of favor, don't know why.

Focusrite makes very good mic preamps. Of the stories I heard here, it seems like Mac is their main development platform. Or it's just easier to get it right on Mac because there is less diversity in hardware. Their drivers for Windows used to be not so stable / buggy for some users. But things could have improved, and issues with drivers are often related to your mobo as well it seems. Very hard to predict, too many variables in the equation.
Regarding monitors: if you can, then go to a shop and listen to them.

The only unit I ever heard that about was the 2i2, and that was the "1st generation" model only. As far as I know they are fine now. The MOTU M2 and M4s were having similar problems reported when they first came out a year or two ago, but I think those are resolved as well.BertKoor wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 9:08 am Focusrite makes very good mic preamps. PS to the OP: I would not rely too much on Amazon reviews. Check out web sites like this one or gearspace.com (etc) for people's experiences.

I had the 26c, similar to 24c, it's a good interface for starters. Monitors, if we can call them that, are on a smaller side, they won't produce lower bass range. I had M-audio 4 inch long ago, it's a pain.
