I have Atomic Transient but usually find it tricky to work with. Most of the time I can get better results cooking up something with an envelope follower into a comparator to trigger another envelope generator in Bitwig Grid, and that modular approach makes more sense to me.fairlyclose wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 11:02 pmI am surprised at the lack of interest in this very powerful processor.fairlyclose wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 2:42 pm atomic transient https://www.molecularbytes.com/mbcms/in ... ctransient

understand, Atomic Transient takes a bit of learning but is an absolute gem once you get used to it. And you have a good alternative. I also have the basic transient plugins like from Softube and just never use them now.foosnark wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 1:19 amI have Atomic Transient but usually find it tricky to work with. To me the standard gate section of the console one 4k strip does everything I need in that regard and I have it on each track of my project anyway.

...still one question left here : what are the good of the sophisticated multiband transient shaper like spiff or punctuate
As far as I could experience it's getting excessively subtle nuances that becomes only noticeable inside a mix when for instance, some short transient are enhanced from a track and pass through the mask effect, but the difference between on and off would not be noticeable when listening in solo mode !!!!!

I haven't used them, but I wonder if they're good for cleanup?
Sometimes I get an unpleasant sort of buzz around the 5K-10K range -- I think it's from clipping something in my Eurorack setup but of course I don't notice it until I've already recorded a take. I've found if I can blunt the attack within that band it sounds less distracting. I've been using other methods, but maybe that's something a multiband transient shaper could handle?

Transreckon from eareckon
https://www.eareckon.com/en/products/tr ... haper.html
Still my favourite after all those years.. With the Listen (Sens, Length) function you can precisely
determine the attack length and exclude any spill (f.e.HiHat) on a snare mic from being effected by an attack boost.

EDIT: I see alot of ppl already suggesting this Khs Transient Designer. It replace my Softube TD and SPL versions recently and I didnt knew how good this kilohearts stuff actually is. There are some real gems in there.

WA's Imprint is very light and has low latency.

I like SPL's and Waves , smack attack is pretty decent.
