I picked this up recently. Plugin Boutique (PB) was giving Expanse Lite away last month as a freebie. But the regular price is $69. I am impressed with it! Very nice audio processor for the usual dirtying up tasks.

From their site:

Features
5 Effects Modules (Re-amp, Dirt, Format, Width & Space)
20 Unique Algorithms (1024 different combinations)
Multiband functionality per module (For Gain and Effect processing)
Drag & Drop Modular workflow
Resizeable UI
350 Presets
Zero Latency
CPU Optimisation
Standalone version

A note on prices: PB had this as a freebie in 09/2022, then $20 to upgrade to full. The regular prices as of now are $49 lite, $69 full, $25 upgrade. I also notices on PB for 10/2022 there 50% off Lifeline Console (full) for $35 which is a decent deal if you want/need a tool like that.

How are you getting on with it? The upgrade from Expanse Lite is as low as I've seen it near £13, especially translated into USD terms under $15.

Also found this contributed NKS yesterday ... and even works in new Komplete Kontrol.

I like it. And Lifeline Console. Very nice tools in both sound and usability. I havent been doing much writing and recording lately so I havent used them on a project yet. I usually like to mess around with a new plugin so I get better understand what it offers for easier mental recall when I am in produciton mode. But I still think they are a good value for the money unless you have a lot of redundancy in your toolbox.

The freebie Lifeline lasted 5 minutes on my hd.
The multiband approach isn't bad but none of the algos really shocked me.

Maybe it's an unfair and very partial comparison, but I kept Tape Mello-Fi and deleted this one.

Wouldn't take much use to justify the expenditure, but I am of two minds. I don't have RC-20, and passed on the deep discount earlier this year, with no regrets. Being able to change the order in which effects are applied is a differentiator. Will assume that we won't see much more feature development, so it is what it will be.

I could see using this to rapidly prototype an effects chain that includes some combination of 2+ of these types of modules. It has a simple easy workflow. Is that something I need? I'm covered many times over by individual effects that overlap these modules and no shortage of means to chain them together.

I view it as a tool best suited for processing loops when you're making a hip hop beat. It's a chain of five FX that can help a loop to sit in the background better. I think it's convenient for that purpose. Since you're mostly adjusting the dry/wet ratio of each effect, and your only goal is to make the loop sound a bit less pristine, it's a bit faster than using 5 individual plugins.

I'm not sure why they decided why MOD and WEAR are better suited as part of Console rated than Excite.
I'm missing MOD and WEAR modules in Excite honestly :)

Spent some more time with Expanse Lite. What I like are the workflow and look & feel. Great. What I don't like are the actual sounds. Underwhelming. Have better options for each module. Will see whether I go to Lite for situations where it might make sense. If I do perhaps an upgrade is in order. I'm sure there will be deals in the future to be had. I also want to see there is more development planned around these. Ability to use modules from Console or Expanse each in the other would be dope ... and sell more of both.

yep.
If it had Wear and Mod i'd consider buying both, but as it is now i'm not sure it brings much compared to RC-20 i already have

Im liking it for the speaker simulation. Although I dont have any other - would probably ditch that plugin if somebody can recommend a cheap or free alternative

I have Audiothing Speakers, which is neither free nor cheap, but definitely next level comparatively.

Actually now that I look at them side by side, Speakers overlaps with Expanse a lot more than I had considered. Also has distortion/degradation modules and all modules can be re-orderd. I find the background noise loader +envelopes invaluable.

Folks, maybe anyone had experience about activation for Excite Audio plugs, i mean what will occurs after 3 attempts.

From FAQ:
Can I use Excite Audio plugins on multiple computers?
Yes, all Excite Audio plugins can be activated on up to 3 devices.

Just plan to upgrade LifeLine series, but not sure if 3 activations is hard limit, or not exactly.
As i see there is no some account at Excite Audio page, all thru PB, serial activation online (?) \ no deactivation.
