Hi everyone.
I'm trying to randomize pitch, velocity, timbre and pan on a kick sample but it seems like it's not working. The sound is the same. Does anyone know why it's not working? Using the latest version 4.4 on a mac.

Yes – Randomize is a Note effect that needs to be put before the audio device that generates the sound. So simply dragging the Randomize device to the left of the Sampler should do the trick.

As far as I have seen he put it into the Note FX section of the Sampler which should have the same effect like putting it to the left...Dionysos wrote: Sun Oct 16, 2022 8:38 am Yes – Randomize is a Note effect that needs to be put before the audio device that generates the sound. I think especially with the Pitch the problem is that the pitch tracking of the sample is turned off (little keyboard icon on the right hand side of the sample name on the top of the sample window)...
Try to turn it on and see if this works...

Indeed, my bad, I didn't look closely enough. You're probably right about the pitch tracking being the culprit.Trancit wrote: Sun Oct 16, 2022 8:49 am As far as I have seen he put it into the Note FX section of the Sampler which should have the same effect like putting it to the left...

The sampler in your screenshot has its Velocity sensitivity (above the main out knob) turned all the way down, so you'll want to turn that up to get velocity randomisation.
Timbre is a meta parameter that doesn't do anything by default, but you can freely link it to any other parameters (e.g. filter cutoff) using the "Expression" modulator.
