November music could be whatever you can make of 'Kuckuck Kuckuck rufts aus dem Wald', a children's song of german-speaking europa. Play it backwards, make a canon, do a heavy rock cover, whatever.

That's so specific yet random - I love the idea :D

If we go for this, is there any chance someone could put up a midi file. I'm grossly out of practice for reading the dots, and the only notation software I have is on the primitive side :(
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently now an 'elderly' so maybe I forgot!

This page should help a lot if we go this way:

Just a heads-up.
Mr Moon has made changes to the server, and Firefox now accepts downloads again. It might be helpful if some of you tried again to download my second October track to give extra confidence of this.

Yes! The download works.

I like the idea of the song in general, but this particular one is not very variable. Maybe a classic Da Da Da?)

Can anybody put a link to the chords or the lyrics to this song, preferably in English. I don't speak German so can't understand the video you've posted and I don't want to attempt to sing in a faux German accent.
can't sing, can't play, looks awful.....

I went to the German Wikipedia page of the song and pressed translate to English, and these are the lyrics:

Cuckoo , cuckoo is calling from the forest.
Let's sing, dance and jump.
Spring, spring is coming soon.

Cuckoo, cuckoo won't stop screaming:
Come into the fields, meadows and forests.
spring, spring, tune in

Cuckoo, cuckoo, excellent hero.
You succeeded in what you sang.
Winter, winter clears the field.

Besides the google translation there are older translations of the lyrics too but they don't rhyme either and any english lyrics or translations probably are copyrighted too (not certain of google copyright). But well beanpole, you are a proven poet.

And here are the chords, one version of them.
