Hi,

What do you think would be the best way to achieve this pitched down bass like in this track?

I don´t think anything´s been pitched down here, it´s just LP-filtered. Really like that bass!

Around 1:40min isn't the bass dropping slowly in pitch? :scared:
Kind of like you would be playing with mod wheel if that makes sense.

It sounds like this is just legato playing on a monophonic synthesizer. There is usually a “portamento” or “glide” control determining how quickly it slides to the next note; for fine control this could be automated to be slower on the note falls and faster on the note rises. (In modular systems it is often possible to slew up/down independently.)

A similar effect to this is to apply a pitch modulation envelope with long release. It gives less control but also works for polyphonic playing.

This video shows you how to get it almost identical
Only realised after recording that I didn't automate the mod wheel :dog: the first time I tried automating it.

Now I understand the question. Respect to CHOOS for a far above decent explanation and voice over with a way beyond average quality of what you often find on youtube :)
