Bottom place is fine by me this round .... brain just not up to it - sorry, as this would have been a great round for me with this orchestral sampler!
 Get well soon Rob

Ironic you get covid this month, when the OSC was chosen for you! The main thing is for you to look after yourself and get well soon!

Thanks Richard and all. Slowly getting better. It really is the brain fog which is hampering the creative process. 8 days to go ... hope to have something. By the sounds already submitted, this is going to be a really good round, despite the initial "worries" by many ... we really do have some great composers here, and many have yet to show their hand :D

Here is my (first ever) submission to the challenge.

Cakewalk DAW
Around 20 instances of BBCSO
EQ - MEqulizer
midi-triggered envelope - Envelover
Reverb - Valhala Supermassive

All sound design / effects accomplished using automation on BBCSO parameters (mainly the "tune"). Envelope was used to reduce the amount of reverb by cutting the "reverb tail"

12 instances of Spitfires excellent BBC Symphony Orchestra Plug-in Instrument. Scored in Bitwig Studio 4.4. One mix reverb and a couple of tool devices are used, that's it. Enjoy!
A very thought inducing piece. I enjoyed the tuned percussion. Would be great movie soundtrack!

Glad to hear you're getting better, Rob. You were the first one I thought of when I saw this challenge – a great opportunity to showcase your compositional and arranging skills!

At least you have some nice fodder for title considerations: C. O. V. I. D. (Creatively. Overcoming. Vorst. International. Disease.)

Okay, that's naff, Ted Mountainé Orchestra. Someone, please upstage me!

Here's something a bit different from my regular style. The 'One synth challenge' this month was to use Spitfire Audio's free BBC symphony orchestra sample instrument to make a track. Gave it a shot. Full classical or film score or what ever. What do you think?

Made in Ableton LIve 11 using Valhalla Vintage Verb, iZotrope's Neutron 3 and Ozone 9.
28 instances.

Mine is almost ready. At least 8 hours or more of work I think. Yes a main theme really helps to get it going, although I think I have two main themes. Actually three themes. Now the hard part- thinking of a title, and finding a pic!

Haven't submitted a OSC since 2015!

That's a majestic theme! I have movie images coming to mind. Drama, mystery, adventure! Some interesting unexpected key changes. Great!
