Hi!

Some of you in here might remember my old project Smackbox. I've started dabbling in making music again and am now on mac, and really miss my old drum synth.

The closest thing I've tried is microtonic, but it's not as versatile. Any suggestions? Do I need to start coding AU's?

No! I don't have the time, I'd very much prefer to just shell out some cash and start making music.

you can try drum computer but the kicks are a bit soft, you can use samples for the kick though

I like hearbeat - it has a very nice sound, but compared to some synths is extremely limited

There's also Drumatic. There has been some hope that an AU version might be released one day, but it's VST (win/mac) only at the moment.

If there's going to be a DS3, I hope they add a sample player as one of the synth engine options. That would make DrumSpillage unbeatable! Elecktroids meager 4 synth engines is not enough.

I really like Drumatic, but I think he's done with it and will not be updating it. Change my mind.

It's a bit long in the tooth but will be updated to M1 soon according to the dev.

Any decent drum synth for mac?
