November 12, 2022: Voxengo is happy to release TEOTE version 1.12, an automatic spectral balancer plugin for professional music production applications, available in AAX, AudioUnit, VST, and VST3 plugin formats, for macOS and Windows computers. TEOTE was designed to be a very useful tool for both mixing and mastering. It automatically performs such tasks like gentle resonances taming, de-essing, tilt equalizing, usually performed during mixing and mastering. In mixing, TEOTE sounds good on pretty much any material.

The list of changes in this version:

* Fixed an issue with the "Alt" key not working on the "OLE Roll-off" slider.
* Made minor visual adjustments.
* Added the "Spectrum, meter border" palette modifier. Updated palettes.
* Made a small speed-up of GUI loading and drawing.
* Fixed an issue with popup-menus not functioning in Logic Pro on Apple M1 native.
* Implemented "Portable Setups" support (portable settings and authorization storage), read more in the Primary User Guide.

While by definition TEOTE is a dynamic equalizer, its technology is solely based on multi-band dynamics processing. This allows TEOTE to have only minor phase issues, and to produce a subtle transient-emphasis effect associated with dynamics processing. TEOTE tries to make the program material follow the specified spectral profile, tuned to the contemporary mastering standards by default. It can be said that TEOTE “straightens” the frequency response, making further adjustments a lot easier; it removes a lot of repeating work.

“TEOTE” is an acronym for “That’s Easier On The Ear”. TEOTE is a serious contender in helping bring your music production to the next level!

TEOTE features:

* Automatic spectral balancing
* Selectable processing band count
* Unlinked stereo processing
* Multi-band gain adjustments meter
* Stereo and multi-channel processing
* Internal channel routing
* Channel grouping
* Up to 8x oversampling
* 64-bit floating point processing
* Preset manager
* Undo/redo history
* A/B comparisons
* Contextual hint messages
* All sample rates support
* Zero processing latency

This is great, highly appreciated, even if it already was quite portable friendly (on windows) this makes it very convenient and also very user friendly for those who don't want or can go on and about in windows system files.

Thanks Aleksey.

Thanks from me, too. It is good to see your products are being maintained in the way they are.

What is the CPU usage of this vs Gulfoss?

On my 2010 mac pro 12-core xeon, TEOTE x2 oversamping uses more CPU than Gullfoss Mastering. from a purely subjective perspective. I've not measured it.

It depends on how many bands you set and channel linking.

TEOTE can use A LOT less CPU than Gulfoss or A LOT more CPU than Culfoss.
If you set to the max 64bands and 0% channel linking on top on high oversampling it can cripple basically the most powerful computer.
Or if you use reasonable 32bands and 70-100% channel linking, it doesn't use much CPU at all..

I have and use both TEOTE and Gulfoss

Is it only me who would love to have external side chain on TEOTE? As far as I can tell it's not possible in the routing section. Maybe it don't make alot of sense for a plugin like this but the creative part of me would love to experiment with it.
