Relab & Liquidsonics - how is support and products?

hi guys, im trying to get rid of Tracks5 and i will demo some reverbs to check if i can replace Tracks 5 CSR Hall.
but i wonder how these 2 companies are and their support/products? not that i go from one bad product/support to another . thx

I’ve only had limited experience with both companies support, but based on the support I have received Relab’s support is excellent and Liquidsonic’s is great as well.

Both companies make lovely reverbs and the better choice in that regard probably just depends on what kind of reverb you need.

I love the Relab stuff. They were a bit slow with M1 and VST3 support, but those updates have started rolling out. Sonsig-A should be soon, which is another excellent product. But yeah, LX460 and Sonsig are probably my two favorite Lexi-sounding reverbs along with Valhalla. All 3 of those do Halls better than CSR Hall IMO (note: I think Martin Lind of Relab did the algorithms for that way back in the day).

I know Liquidsonics support is excellent and their reverbs top of the line.

I also like Relab reverbs (well I only have one (Sonsig-A) but demoed LX480 too). Haven't had much occasion to deal with their support though.

Liquidsonics is everything that you would want in terms of quality products and support. Top notch.

I also really like Relab as a company, and find them friendly and good people.

I'm in with products on both companies and really like them both. Zero complaints.

I prefer LiquidSonics, they are way more flexible. They have dynamics sections, eq and realize that a digital version can be an improved version, rather than a one to one emulation.

LiquidSonics -- seems solid, but just personally their plugins aren't my thing, I go for full algorithmic reverbs and my demos of their fancy-convolution plugins have never left me feeling that I need them in my toolkit (I do own Reverberate, but don't use it much). Have only heard good things about the business operations / devs.

ReLab -- I love them! I use Sonsig and lx480 every day (mostly the 480, but Sonsig has its place). I've contacted the company on multiple occasions to ask questions and report bugs -- the developer himself has replied in great detail, been very friendly and responsive. Great stuff, highly recommended.

Some of their reverbs are algorithmic..
The two I use for instance, cinematic rooms and tai chi are both algorithmic.

My experience with Liquidsonics' Support has been good -- timely, helpful, listened to suggestions.

Funky bit is correct. Martin Lind of Relab did CSR for IK. CSR is based on the PCM91, not the 480L, though.

LX480 has a bank of PCM91 presets recreated for the 480L. So I think if you’re looking for the reverb that will be most similar to CSR, Relab would be the way to go.

a reminder 1 week ago, still no reply.
I also unsubscribed their newsletter,
because they sended every day some boring long email celebrating their awesome plugins in such an old fashioned
tedious way.
Some examples of titles of their almost daily emails:

Both companies have amazing reverbs. My suggestion is to try them and then select them based on your own sensibilities. I prefer Relab reverbs because of the sound but that is subjective therefore try them out.

Their support is quite amazing so it's hard to believe you but of course, mistakes can happen. Why don't you try to contact them again directly through their email and send them your ticket number?

Regarding email marketing: sure. For donkeys, It is easier to open 20 emails from a vendor and then complain here instead of hitting the "unsubscribe" button which is at the bottom of EVERY email they send out.

And then donkeys complain when they don't receive emails about updates. Sigh.

However, Relab is doing something I never saw before with other vendors. I think it's a new thing. At the bottom of their emails, you can "silence" promotional or educational newsletters and still stay subscribed to them for the purpose of updates. I have never seen similar stuff. Great! And it works.

But you need a degree in quantum mechanics to understand that. And you need to understand higher orders of simple-order algebra.

A different point of view: Sonimus or Surreal Machines, I am constantly getting their "promotions" and "sales" for plugins even though I own all of their plugins. So what? Should I whine on a forum? No, it takes me around 10 seconds to do email preflight and then delete it and keep being subscribed to them so I get to receive updates on new products.

Yes, Relab has support. I think it’s maybe just one guy, Randy. He’s very nice and very helpful, and in my experience, fairly prompt.

I collect all the Relab emails. I print them out and have a whole scrapbook of them, along with cake recipes.

stupid question, which Valhalla plugin would replace CSR Hall on your optinion? Valhalla Vintage Verb?
