I'm a big fan of acid basslines and suchlike.
I've noticed that with that "old favorite" Rebirth RB-338, I can set ALL the notes to slide and get a repeating "infinitely sliding" pattern.
However, all the modern emulations of the 303 don't allow me to do this - - the pattern fades out pretty rapidly.
What I wouldn't know, since I've never been near one, is what would happen on a real 303 if I set all the notes to slide.
I've attempted to emulate a 303 myself with Dune 3 and also NI massive (using the arp), but find that even if i set all the notes to slide, they seem to automatically re-trigger the first note.
Any ideas or comments on how I could achieve an infinitely sliding pattern?

Answer: sustain.
All the 303 emulations have 0 sustain in the envelope, I'm assuming - and therefore probably the original TB-303 is the same.
Having played around with various VST synths, generating a 303-like sound, hooked up to an apeggiator capable of slide notes, I can achieve infinite slide notes simply by raising the sustain of the envolope anywhere above 0, but obviously full up is best for the sound I'm looking for.
So it seems out old mates Propellerheads decided to improve on the 303 by adding 100% sustain to the envelope... good on 'em!
