I just played with Arturia FX Collection and found out that the presets is good enough (usable in my music). For me, good fx (filter, reverb, delay, distortion etc) preset means unique and inspiring, simple and not too complex/brutal sounding but not too plain either. For example, Melda and Sugar Bytes fx presets are too weird, Fabfilter not really usable (at least for me?), NI have some good presets, whereas many free plugins presets are too plain. And I'm done with multi fx creative like Tantra etc. What other plugin developer you think have best fx presets?

Yeah I agree with what you say about FabFilter presets..

I find Soundtoys presets very usable, I am sure there are others that I am currently forgetting

I've demoed their multi fx once.. It's just too much for me. Too experimental

I'm with you on Melda. There are loads of presets but the names are whimsical and typically give no clue about the settings. I think Voxengo does a good job providing fewer but well-considered & named presets.

The iZotope mixing stuff has good presets, and so do Trash and Iris. Abandoned, I know, but still...

Different people ...different taste...

I could make a song from every single preset of Tantra... for my taste they are the best fx presets I have ever had in my life... I have hard times to find a preset in there which I don´t like/don´t find inspiring to immediately use it!

Fx plugin developer with best presets?
