no interpolation vsti sampler?

Hey guys

wondering if anyone knows if there exists a VSTi sampler in which you can disable sample interpolation?
The option is available in trackers usually...

If you want to hear what I mean, just pick up any module (it/xm etc.) in Winamp and go to
Options -> Preferences -> Input | Nullsoft Module Decoder (press Configure), and uncheck/check "Interpolation".

I'm doing a remake of an old tracker tune but I need a sampler that doesn't interpolate since otherwise I'm missing a lot of high frequency content of the samples.

sfz. It does interpolate, however it does it so well that it doesn't harm the audible part of the signal. Give it a try, its free.

No. He obviously wants: a kinda no_interpolation_noise (also called quantizing noise).



Oh yeah, this were the good old days of tracker sounds I remember so well...

This amazing quantizing noise, adding new amazing frequency content to the sound...

A little serious tip to you:

You can also use a bit/samplerate reducer (lofi effect) to achieve exactly this result with any available equipment you use. U plug it simply in as an insertion effect (process replacing).

If you wana make a remake of a good old tracker song, I assume you will not apply all parts with this technique or effect...

bit reduction does help some, although I wouldn't bet on it producing *exactly* the same effect... pretty close though

you can set that in Fruityloops, but they removed that function for some reason. weird.
