I was toying with the rhino 2 DX7 import feature over the weekend; and it really has been improved. What a great idea, pre-assigning the modulators to a performance slider.
It got me thinking. It would be interesting if the waveform itself could be put on a slider.
Is there currently a way to assign a "set of waves" to an osc, and then put the set on a slider so that the slider can select one of the waves on the fly ? This is slightly different than assigning a set of wav files to an osc based on midi note number (another nice feature of rhino2). Also, for the intended purpose, single cycle wavetable waves would be more appropriate source material than wav loops.
a strange idea for rhino

Ouch. No, you can't. That would mean having a lot of these waveforms loaded up in RAM at any time, hence a big CPU usage.
This said, since you can assign several controls to a given performance slider, you can control, with a single slider, the output mix of several oscillators - with each of them having a different waveform assigned.
