There are so many macros... what are your favorites?

And did you know you can use icons for macros? I think that is pretty handy.

Can't say I've really know any of the macros or use them consciously. But I do have 1 "custom" macro called "Merged Events Proper". The default Merge Events command, when snap is enabled, will merge the remainder of a bar more than what you select rather that just what you select. I replace my key binding for that command with this macro which make the snap setting not matter. Maybe someone else will find it helpful. See attached file.

So far I haven't thought of anything I'd need to make a macro for. I don't find anything so difficult or convoluted that it would be worth the effort.

The only ones I found myself using were 'play selection in loop', and reverse although I find myself using my pinky and forefinger for that mostly.

Unfortunately, the things I need a macro for don’t have functions available.

I need to:

Set all Automation Curves to a value
Change Exponential Curves to S-Curves
Randomize Automation Points
Copy/Assign Automation Data to new Instrument/Parameter

All of these actions have to be manually performed one at a time directly to the automation data by hand. It’s EXTREMELY time consuming.

Working with automation is Studio One’s weak point.

I have a touch screen setup & Windows software which allows you to insert images which send midi .
I use an online text generator to create all the names for utilities & tasks. https://en.textdrom.com/neon-png-text.html.

I'm incompatible with this platform & rarely posted in 10 years. Ive deleted all my posts apart from this as it indicates why.
