Hello all,

I was pretty unclear in my last post and I want to apologize for that. I've been enjoying this artist lately and he has inspired me to get me out of my comfort zone with my own work.

Here is the Track:

Now right at the start the percussion and kick come in full force and I was wondering what is the best way to approach this? Would grooves and layers of audio tracks play a important role? Also about 0:14 secs you can really hear the pad/ambience come to life. These are sounds that I will like to achieve and have a better understanding of for my future work.

I also use Ableton 11 and was curious what would be the best way to make these sounds from native tools? Reason I say this is because I only have a few 3rd party plugins and VST's.

Thanks in advance :)

the main kick and clap are kinda self explanatory but for the percussion I would throw it into a sampler that can slice them up and play them individually so you know what sort of sounds to get or make.

the pads are unison saw's with a low-pass filter and usually delay+reverb.
it's about making chord progressions you like and doing the same
