Lore is an open source granular and spectral processor by Puremagnetik: https://puremagnetik.com/products/lore- ... nd-console

I found no thread about it, so if anyone is interested in it or already has experience working with it, feel free to share your thoughts here. :)

New Features get implemented pretty often, which is cool and from watching some videos on youtube, it seems like the perfect instrument for creative and experimental audio manipulation.

followed on patreon a long while back and have enjoyed it + regular updates for a while now. it's a fun great sounding creative plug in.

Subscription $89/year.

Looks really great but no option to buy outright? No thanks.

If you pay for a month you can keep the version of Lore you get perpetually after you quit the subscription. The monthly fee is for future version upgrades because Lore is upgraded monthly.

I bought the everything bundle from Pure Magnetik on a big sale and it's pretty good but I'm not totally happy with it. Doing great in music though STILL after over 20 years of good work usually so I don't mind an occasional extra dime spent.

On patroon I think it’s $3 or $5 a month and you keep whatever version was available when you stop subscribing. It’s in my account at puremagnetik.

I forget the plan but basically when it’s “done” maybe it’ll be for sale outright on his site. But it seems to be a long term project with lots of features being added every month

Lore is the best of the Pure Magnetik plugins I'm pretty sure and likely to bloom into the potential of being the best Granular plugin beyond all hopefully if it gets enough coding and financial support.

i wish he would have 2/3 great plugins instead of 50 or so small ones.

I'm pretty sure their Pure Magnetik bundled plugins with the fancy art interface are designed in something like Cycling 74 Max which is a GUI programming environment that you can make plugins or Ableton Max4Live devices with. Lore must be coded with a real coding environment.

I only see a 13/month option on Patreon. But either way if you keep that version then that’s a fine deal as you can buy again when you want an upgrade. Sort of like the Bitwig license, which I think is a great model. You buy an upgrade when there are features you want and you can do so any time.

This months changelist of the new version of Lore includes the full Atmos Surround update. I personally don't use Atmos but some people live by it a little.
