I am thinking of a setup to listen to music while in bed. I wonder how sturdy this is. Will I be able to swipe or tap on the tablet: https://www.amazon.com/Foldable-Aluminu ... r=1-4&th=1 More: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=adjustable+T ... _sb_noss_1
Will get a cheap tablet that will be held permanently by the bed device. It will be always be plugged in to the wall power supply. Do the lower priced tablets sound as good as the more expensive tablets? Is there is a better way to do this? Will a small laptop or Chromebook with a touch screen serve me better? I am open to suggestions.
The setup will include both over the ear headphones and an amp and speakers and will choose one or the other. Primarily I want to listen to music prior to falling asleep. Should I get a headphone amp?
If I am not satisfied with the online free Ambient and Classical music programing then I will subscribe to Musical Starstreams or Hearts of Space.

Right now I am CD based in the bedroom and office/studio (click on my signature) and living room and car. In the bed room I have the Kenwood receiver/amp, Infinity speakers and MK speakers, and may hook up a subwoofer. Lately have been listening mostly classical through my Sony MDR 7509 headphones.
I want to expand my my music listening to include Ambient and lesser known classical works, jazz and experimental. Yes I will loose a little audio quality but believe that I can survive it.

The construction base looks very familiar. Remember these?Kalamata Kid wrote: Sun Jan 22, 2023 1:46 pm I wonder how sturdy this is. Will I be able to swipe or tap on the tablet

Over BlueTooth: it's all digital, so there should be no difference.Kalamata Kid wrote: Sun Jan 22, 2023 1:46 pm Do the lower priced tablets sound as good as the more expensive tablets?
Using their own speakers:

I will be using my headphones or my amp and speakers. The audio will be coming from the headphone jack so the the quality of the built-in digital to audio converter I suppose will make a difference?
A friend of just told me that he has a bed device and it is not so sturdy. I will have to hold onto the tablet then swipe. I suppose I can live with that. The tapping will be ok. Yes I have a lamp like like the one above with a heavy magnifying glass which I tested the tapping and swiping.
