Can you remove a sound using Spectralayers Elements?

I'm just trying to figure out if Spectralayers Elements is actually worth the cost as I'm looking to remove the odd sound so it blends in with the rest of the audio and I'm not sure if you only get to lower the volume rather than remove it completely.
