So I've had a hard time getting back into writing, but I decided to remaster this weird thing I did back in 2019. I've purchased some new mastering plugins recently so I wanted to try them out. The track should probably be remixed completely in a lot of areas but I'm not ready to go that far yet:) The writing is a bit inconsistent but in general gets better toward the midway point—at least in my opinion it does.

Also attaching two snippets of before and after. The new master is a little louder, but much wider, fuller, and more harmonically rich. That's what I was going for anyway.

Mastering plugins used in order: Waves Abbey Road Vinyl, Plugin Alliance Lindell TE-100, Plugin Alliance Shadow Hills Class A Mastering Compressor, Wavesfactory Spector, Waves L3LL-Ultramaximizer, SSL X-Saturator, FabFilter Pro-L2 Limiter

I reuploaded the new master to BandCamp and made it free if anyone's interested.

The SoundCloud upload says "3 years ago" . I'm shall assume that you overwrote the original upload with the new master.

It think the mastered sound is good and I enjoyed all the different sections and synths you have going on. Sounds like there's acoustic guitar picking maybe mixed in at a few points (or is that a synth?), but I like the organic sound mixed with all the electronic stuff. Cool.

Yes, that is correct. I didn't even think about the date being there.

The guitar sound is actually from Nord keyboard. I believe it was a Nord Lead A1. It was in the studio I was working in.

Lovely music essae. The new mix and master is great. Clear and with lots of interesting sounds. Like mikejanet says " Could easily be a film score". When I see something over 20 minutes I am generally reluctant to listen to it, but not this one. A great journey.
Well done!

Music with progressive intent.

I agree that the new master has a much "fuller" sound than the 2019 version. It is louder, but the original does sound less "rounded".

Good work :)

Great piece. Standout sounds for me were the pitch bent strings near the end.

I liked the Recursion.
The pleasant ambiance and sounds.

for my ears the new one is better - what doesn't mean that the first one was bad :P

it is better to have a track with some mistakes than a track without any soul
myself in 2022
