I have been playing music live and recording it since lockdowns:), to kill the intelectual boredom.
I work DAWless, using hardware synths (analog and digital) and Maschine as host for VST plugins (keeping my all FX there).
Problem I faced was to record quality audio without additional equipment.
Solution I have found is freeware application - Asio Link Pro, which in short work as digital patchbay.
This allows to multitrack your performance.

I am aware you can plug Maschine as VST instrument inside any DAW and than multitrack it...but
Maschine is not instrument anymore, just plugin inside the DAW.

Situation I describe in the video is runnig Maschine in Standalone Mode, and separately running DAW and multitracking it via patchbay Asio Link Pro.
That little app needs really more attention and it deserves to be known.
For qualified sound engineer, ALP can do wonders.
Patching your internal digital signals means no additional a/d/a conversion, allows to save patching/preset, saves money on cables and equipment!
