Hey guys I am not expecting a lot of people to even address this because it is and old rejected groovebox gear... (I love rejected gear!) I have been asking on FB groups but no responses anywhere. But it is worth a shot to ask here!

I got a Roland D2 and really love the basic/classic sounds, I want to use it as a sound module for use with my other sequencers such as the amazing synthstrom deluge.

I know that it is a rompler based on mc505, but I am wondering is there a way to manually change the waveform for my own custom presets.

I looked all through the manual many times and still have no idea how this would be possible. I do see a huge numbered list of waveforms in the back of the manual. What am I missing?

I would prefer to change this from the actual unit, but I really can't find out how.

Should I just use the CC's (all set up on my keyboard) and change the presets built in from there?

Thanks!

Skimmed through the manual, no such option indeed.

Me thinks the idea is to start with a Preset that uses the waveform required, then save as a User Patch.

Thanks for the input Bert! I think that's the way, its so strange to me that there is no means to change the waveform in any other way, and I wonder what the user parts would be for, and why we have a waveform list at the end of the manual!

That being said, at least to my ears the sounds are worth keeping and using, I was up to the late hours of the night toying with the presets and CC mapped novation SL MK3 :)

If anyone out there knows another way that we are missing please let me know!
