hi guys,
i dunno if this never happened in the past, maybe FL Studio handled it different in old version but while checking my old projects i found out that ARPs get played always different, depending where you start and hit play, and i dont mean IN THE ARP melody/pattern but where you hit play in Playlist mode. Check the video please, the Pattern Mode is correct, and it seems if you play the song from the beginning (i muted the other instances) then it also plays correctly.

so you hear/see the first example is correct in patternmode, it is also correct when i hit the play button in playlist mode FROM THE BEGINNING and let it reach Pattern 12.
BUT when i click before Pattern 12 and hit the play button it play NOT ALWAYS the ARP correctly. is it normal or is it unusual?
thx
Synth1 (or maybe ARP Problem overall?) ARP is played different Pattern vs Playlist Mode

That is normal in any arpeggiator that plays "live" - that is, receives Note On and Note Off messages and generates arpeggiated notes in real-time.Caine123 wrote: Thu Mar 16, 2023 7:30 pm [...]

Such arpeggiators do not have access to pattern data, so if playback starts in the middle of a pattern, they cannot "pre-compute" their output as it would have been from beginning of the pattern.

Related to this, and regarding resurrection of old projects in FL Studio in general: based on my experience (some cases also involving Synth1), something in how MIDI is sent to VSTs was changed after FL Studio v9. This may change how arpeggiation and glide/portamento sounds in VSTs, even if note data looks exactly the same in pianoroll.
In any case, the best situation is to have closest possible version [of host and plugins] with which the project was originally made.
