I have owned/used several classic hardware synthesizers over the years:

Several more.....
When I first received the Virus Ti2, my opinion was that it was right up there with the best of them.
But, I was surprised how you have to do some tweaking with the filters to get it to sound "Analog", but it can be done.
Its very flexible and powerful, can do many different types of sounds.
It will give you years of tweaking and possibility.

Get a powerful PC and use the emulator to run Virus C. And something maybe like one of these Fabfilter Twin 3/The Legend/Obsession/U-He Diva/Repro 5/Massive X/Super 8 for analog needs.
