It's an emulation of the Lexicon 224 Reverb, and appears to have more advanced features under the hood. Any thoughts on this?

With FX Collection 3, loyalty pricing is $29 for me. ($69 intro, $99 regular)

Wow!

I was hoping for Relab, but I’ll take Arturia.

Anyone tried it yet? Does it sound good? Anyone planning on comparing it to UAD's version?

I like the interface choice between vintage/authentic, and modern with more visual enhancements. :tu:

Demos sound great and $29 puts it into no-brainer territory for me :tu:

I might cave in on this too at $29. I’ve resisted all the emulations so far except IRs and I know I’d use it.

I tried and it sounds very good, i like the way it can be used everywhere, i mean it's very versatile and good sounding as "natural" reverb as creative one.

If you are interested i made a video, i don't go through details trying the plugin, but just a very quick preset walkthrough to give an idea on the sounds, along my thoughts.

Sounds lovely to me. Just wish Arturia would lose the unnecessary GUI backgrounds — although I can see why for the Advanced mode.

Is the CPU consumption as stupidly high as their plate emu?

As far as I could see, it's actually higher :hihi:

Their plate emulation averages 1.8% on my CPU
This new LX-24 is around 4.6%

I don't know about other people and their machines.

It is odd that it would take that much CPU to emulate a digital reverb algorithm that ran on an 8-bit 3 MHz Intel 8080 processor from 1974.

Yes the CPU usage is stupidly high.

Windows 11 - Intel 12900k - Studio One v6

Arturia Lexicon LX-24: 10-15% depending on settings (modern is much more heavy than other settings but does sound better)

Seventh Heaven Pro: 2%

ValhallaVintageVerb: 0%

Probably a pass for me just on CPU use.

It's doing a lot more than the Lexicon though. Advanced screen is nice. The ducker is a surprising addition.

I think I prefer the sound of ValhallaVintageVerb though in 80s or Modern mode with the Smooth Hall or Palace models.

The manual says if you don't want this to happen, you can use the lock button.

This might sound insane: but are we sure it's not Relab?
