Hey

At NAMM 2023, Soundtoys has announced Superplate, a supercharged version of its Little Plate plate reverb. It has five algorithms, pre-delay, modulation, built-in EQ, and more.

There’s someone who can write code left at Soundtoys? Shocking.

This is making me extremely excited. Highest score on the Excito-Meter-2000 on this Namm so far.

A reverb in the effect rack is something I've been waiting for so damn long. Holy cow. This will be so much fun.

Serious :) I always found their Echoboy original to be one of the inspirational sound design tools around.

So, guess we won't see any gui changes or even scalable guis for any of the older plugin anytime soon, judging by the look of this new plugin.

Step right up folks, step right up... closer... closer... closer....
I guess resizable GUIs are planned for 2024?
same as SSL. They either must have very good eyesight, or they don't really use their own plugins.
BRING ON THE SUPERPLATE!
Another plate plugin that eats CPUs for breakfast :P

Maybe they are still working in SVGA resolution on a CRT monitor.

Not gonna lie, I really like little plate. I will probably upgrade as long as it's not too much because they still use iLok. On the other hand, I might wait some 6 months/years too, don't know yet.

what's the 4th one down? "E-Plate"?
can't wait to hear this.

EMT 140 and an EMT 240?

maybe it's a 250, i need Soundtoys eyes :P
must be a 240 cos it's gold plated?

Goldfoil ?
Audicon, Stocktronics

So Stocktronics will be a bright plate.
Audicon is bright too?

ooOOOOOooh excitement

ok, so the youtube video isn't totally useless,
yes the Stocktronics is a very thin bright sound. Have no idea about the E-Plate.
Goldfoil, bring it on.

Upon release, SuperPlate will be sold individually for $149 MSRP or as a trade-up from Little Plate to SuperPlate for $59.

Soundtoys 5.4 will be available for $499 MSRP or as an upgrade from Soundtoys 5.3 to 5.4 for $59.

SuperPlate can be added to the Effect Rack plug-in for $59.

Meanwhile, Arturia FX Collection 3 upgrade from Tape Mello-Fi and Filter MS-20, which they gave away for free $129. Which also includes EMT 140 reverb and also the new Lexicon 24 reverb. AND NO ILOK.

Whats the difference between 5.3 and 5.4? Just the addition of Superplate or other enhancements, do you know?
I wonder what happens if I press this button...
