Hi everyone, I'm trying to get close to that 80s guitar sound you can here in these tracks :

Anyone knows where should I start ? I'm trying to find a VST that can emulate an electric guitar at a decent price, maybe a Kontakt library but I can't spend more than 100$ on it.
I guess I also have to work with chorus and amp simulation. Any tips ?

compressor and chorus effect. light flanger too if you can get it.

Andy Summers used a Roland JC-120, like many others in Post-Punk/New Wave.

I get a Jazz Chorus tone by using a JC-120 TONEX model with the speaker turned off, followed by Audiority Chorus Ensembler going to a L/R channel splitter with the same TONEX model on each channel, but with the amps turned off and the speakers on. Then I’ll narrow the stereo image a little.

Another way it was commonly done was as a “desk tone” with a Rockman or ADA preamp, compression, and chorus — straight into the desk, no cab or mics.

THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP
