I have one of these: https://www.boss.info/us/products/mo-2/
Here's a better demo than in the link above (no cheesy voice-over!)
It's hard to describe what it sounds like -- anywhere from a chorus to a octave divider, depending on how you set it.
I'm intrigued to know if there are any VSTs out there that do a similar thing?
Of course, it's a bit hard to know exactly how it actually works, but basically I think it's mostly to do with emphasising harmonic overtones via fourier transform, in other words it's a kind of extreme "intelligent" EQ.
I'm on a bit of a crazy mission to achieve decent emulations of all the pedals in my hardware guitar rig (and the amps actually)... at this point the boss MO-2 is the only one I can't seem to crack!
I suppose in the fullness of time, somebody's bound to bring out an emulation of it, but in the meantime.... just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?
Boss MO-2 Guitar Pedal -- how to replicate with VST?

... so far, found this: https://freevstplugins.net/chromadsp-harmonicboost/
similar territory, but not quite the same -- does make a nice guitar effect though.

I’d try one of the Eventide plugins, the Quadvox or Octavox.

Thanks! That is a truly amazing harmonizer... sounds absolutely killer on guitar. Quadvox does the trick, I'm sure with a bit of tweaking I should get something pretty close to the MO-2zerocrossing wrote: Sat May 06, 2023 2:42 pm I’d try one of the Eventide plugins, the Quadvox or Octavox.
