Welcome to a cinematic prepared piano like no other. Water Piano allows you to morph an intimate studio grand piano into infinitely evolving, atmospheric sounds that fit everything from new age to horror to action to chill. Created in partnership with YouTuber engineering genius Mattias Krantz, who filled the piano’s case with gallons of water and recorded it at different water levels you can control, from dry to fully submerged.
Water Piano is a character grand piano recorded in an intimate studio space. It was then filled to the brim with water and recorded underwater mics to create the Wet sample set - and yes, this is the only library where "Wet" actually means that!
The muted, otherworldly sound of the wet samples can be transformed further with the "Extra Wet" control, morphing the output with the sounds of running streams, creating beautiful soundscapes and textures.
Finally, the "Freeze" control introduces a third sample set of infinitely-sustained frozen notes crafted from the original samples.
With these controls - plus microtuning, envelopes. and our Console modular FX rack and mixer - Water Piano is capable of a truly wide range of fascinating sounds ideal for film/TV/game scoring, New Age, horror, ambient electronica and much more.
