Hi,

Is there any way to have patches selected randomly in Analog Lab?
With 12.000 patches in my library it would be nice with a random feature for surprise inspiration.

Extra nice would be some kind of checklist of devices to randomize patches from, in case you don't want hundreds of electric pianos and organs, or if you only want that.

And super nice would be if you could choose to only randomize liked patches or not (or only non-liked as well if you're looking to see if you missed a gem earlier).

Regards

Hello,
actually there is already a random patch selection feature.
In the Explore view, just click on the button on the rigth of the preset list header. Just below the preset count.
It is 2 lines crossing each others.

Close enough, hit the down arrow to get to the next patch. Neat. Thanks Kevin!

If you're feeling adventurous and have the extra cash, you could try Unify.

That looks like it has a propeller and pocket protector as a minimum requirement! :D

Unify is really interesting (esp for elaborate press-one-key soundscapes); the live streams they do almost every Saturday are pretty educational, I have learned a good bit from watching them and the developers seem very down to earth.

At the moment, the preset that has been chosen remains unchanged. I need to take an additional step in order to obtain a preset at random after the list is shuffled.
To avoid scrolling through a lengthy list of shuffled presets, I find myself clicking the shuffle button twice to quickly refresh the top of the list. Then I still have to manually select a new preset, which requires a total of three clicks.

Having a dice button that randomly selects a preset, regardless of whether the list is shuffled or not, would greatly improve the user experience.
