Only found someone mentioning in it within the Bitwig thread so I thought it could get a bit more attention (since I genuinely like this plug-in). As a Bitwig user I was interested in some sort of plug-in that allows me to capture audio from my hard/software in a buffer so after my “session” I could cut and paste the best bits to my DAW or external location. Having some synths like the Lyra-8 and Moog Semi Modular’s there are a lot of sweet spots that pass by and are not recorded. During my search I stumbled upon plugins like Melda’s MRecorder and Birds Rolling Sampler. From these two plugins I liked Birds Rolling Sampler the best for my application until I discovered MonkeyC’s Rewind 2.0.
MonkeyC’s Rewind 2.0 is a plug-in that you can place f.e. on your masterbus and it will record audio and MIDI in sessions up to 60 minutes. It also runs as a standalone app and allows you to record every sound your computer plays through its output. When you select a certain region, you can simply export it by drag and drop to your DAW where it appears as audio or MIDI. The exported files will also appear in a separate Rewind folder. When I open a template with Rewind on the masterbus it will run automatically. It’s also possible to set a gate so that Rewind only records when the signal hits a certain treshold and you can set te length of the tail when the signal ducks below the threshold. After running the demo I missed a zoom function but from what I understand this will be added in an update. Rewind 2.0 does what I need it to do so I’m happy with it. Is it perfect? I have some points that I shared with the developer(s) but I think it’s already great “as is”.

It also adds a nifty virtual audio cable driver - great for recording video screenshots

After the latest update 2.5.4 the MIDI FX VST3 is broken, it does not let through any sound.
I have it set up on the masterbus in Bitwig as part of the default project, so all files I saved since I started using Rewind is silent in Bitwig unless I disable it. I tried downgrade to version 2.5.0 which was working fine, but it still says 2.5.4 when I load up Rewind. This exact same problem happened in an earlier version, but then it was quickly addressed in an update.
I contacted the company by email since 2 weeks ago and no answer is coming back. It happened previously as well when emailing them about Rando after buying it, no answer back. But I did get a response here on kvraudio, and an advice from the developer to join their discord for support. No idea how to join it though, no information on their website.
It is confusing with great products but a completeley non existing support? They should at least answer emails.
