Hey guys,

so I'm just sorting out my outdated plugins for a future proof Apple system, is there any alternative (AS support) for Phazor that even comes remotely close to this one ?

In my opinion, no. Phazor is really good. I failed to replicate that sound with any other phaser I tried, and I tried a lot of them.

If you don't mind it sounding a bit different, Softube's Fix Phaser is also very good. And, if you're using Reveal Sound Spire, the onboard phaser of that one is also very nice.

I'm not sure which Phazor you're talking about, I'm assuming it's a phase modulation plugin?

My favorite phaser plugins: D16 Fazortan 2 and Eventide Instant Phaser MKII. I deleted or installed every other phaser effect plugin I have and only use/need these.

Those guys do a full-on Virus emu, which also includes an FX version (that has the same phaser model Phazor was based on)

And that is the actual code from the Virus fully emulated as well, so no worrying about 'We did our best to make it sound like the Virus's phaser' stuff..

Phazor is basically identical to the one found in the Virus, and it has a very special character, so I am not sure it can be simulated with other phasers, but maybe someone can do some tests!

Phazor alternative
