It delivers the iconic sound of two revered and renowned mastering devices meticulously designed in the 1970s by two pioneering legends in the field of professional audio.
A mystical aura surrounds it, as only a few dozen units have ever been made in the course of four decades, each hand-assembled by the designer himself. For those lucky enough to own one, usually, there is no sum of money large enough to persuade them to part with their beloved unit.
The universal appreciation of these machines is justified by the transparency of their sonic action and the quality of the electronic and mechanical components used to make them: military-grade rotary switches, precision resistors, proprietary discrete op-amps, and not a single capacitor in the signal path.

With the release of the 5th version, we have elevated the Scarlet suite, pushing its boundaries to greater heights.
This upgrade introduces new features that significantly improve its accuracy and seamlessly integrate it with our state-of-the-art Hyper technology.
In the Scarlet5 plugin suite, both magnitude and phase have reached an exceptional level of precision with very low distortion, making it ideal for adding extra sparkle to your mastering projects.
We are introducing a brand-new version of Scarlet 5 Classic (replacing the previous version), which has undergone a complete resampling to provide you with a state-of-the-art tool, ensuring the highest possible quality for your masters. Scarlet5 Classic truly excels in capturing the nuances of treble and bass, enhancing the top and bottom end easily without any strange phase shifts. The EQ curves and interactivity are 'bang-on', and they are now even closer to the original hardware thanks to a total re-sampling of what is considered to be the "golden reference" in mastering equalizers.

Once the desired size is selected, the plug-in must be removed and re-loaded to apply the changes. This action affects the currently selected plug-in. New instances of the same plug-in will open with this magnification.

Additionally, each plug-in included in the Scarlet suite comes in a 'standard' version and an alternative 'ZL*' version, which operates at *zero latency and is thus suitable for use when tracking (at the cost of extra processing resources).
AI presets
The Scarlet5 EQ includes AI (Artificial Intelligence) presets.
By clicking the PRESETS▼ drop-down menu on the left-hand side of the GUI, you can select a preset from the displayed list.
A normal preset would simply load the same settings each time you use it. Our AI Presets are based on a massive amount of data sampled from real-life mixing sessions by renowned engineers. Any AI Preset will assess the audio being fed into the plug-in, and then, based on the data stored in its memory, it will automatically modify the EQ settings, emulating what the referenced engineer would have done in the same situation.
Here are the steps to achieve optimal results:
1. Loop a short audio section you deem most significant for the AI evaluation.
2. Click the preset you would like to use.
3. Sit back and watch as the EQ settings change.
