Hi there! First post here, but I've been lurking for quite some time (for shame, I know); thanks for everything y'all do! I've seen plenty of discussions on the merits (or non-merits rather) of consumer gear in the pro audio space, but I'm looking specifically for any first-hand experience with the JBL J2060 bookshelf speakers.

Why? Well, I have a pair collecting dust in the basement (been there for years). I re-discovered them the other day, did some casual Googling just to see what hits I got, and happened to notice that there's a studio in Arizona (Bisbee Sound Studio) that lists these JBLs as one of their monitor options (they of course have others). My goal is not to use them as primary monitors, but something to A/B off of. Thoughts from anyone who might have used these (in any context)? Is that crazy?

Not crazy, dust them off. My monitors are a set of passive Alesis MonitorOne mk2, quite similar.

I have those, too... They act now as the main speakers for my TV's 5.1 system, but they are set so that I can switch from my KRK monitors to them just to A/B 8)
