interested, i always use(d) -0.1 but i read sometimes this might be not safe enough for converting WAVs into mp3 etc.

If inter-sample peaks are a concern then set it to -1.0 and forget about it. Exporting to a .wav file, it will be at exactly -1.0 on playback, but when you convert to some lossy format, it will change e.g. peaks can hit -0.2 to -0.3 after conversion to MP3.

I think I remember having read that you should keep it at about -3 dB for that reason.

thx, yeah i think so too . i read and watched a lot about True Peaks but im still not decided... i now go by normal output -0.3 db cause it seems -0.1 can be still risky with conversions and -0.3 db seems to be pretty safe. and some argue true peak enabled is making things less transient/punchy. i never used True Peak limiting in the past with my previous limiters who had no true peak. and i guess this is more of a new "so called" modern thing now? makes your music not better sounding i guess and cleaner.... what did people do in the past without this True Peak? so yeah maybe im old school or just frustrated now to not really understand it but i didnt find THE answer yet and proof that it is better or not
